How Sponsorship Works
To ensure that our commercial activities are realistic, Practice Firms must base their business model on an existing company. Although a single sponsor is sufficent for a Practice Firm to operate, having a variety of sponsors with different types of business activities provides a more enriching and diverse experience fot the participants.
Benefits for the Practice Firm Sponsor
- A possible source for recruting qualified staff
- Opportunity to provide input to the design of the Practice Firm work environment, resulting in candidates with sponsor-specific experience
- Collaborate with Practice Firm on co-op or placement arrangements
- Receive recognition from customers and the community-at-large as a good corporate citizen
Time Commitment of Sponsors
Initially, the sponsor and the Practice Firm will meet to:
- Determine the products and/or services that are being marketed
- Receive information on the products and services
- Agree on what types of documents would be provided or shared with the Practice Firm
- Discuss, clarify and agree on any issues of relevance
Once everything is in place, the time commitment varies from one review contact a month to volunteer involvement in day-to-day operations.
