“I did not only enhance my technical know-how, but also improved my communication skills and learned about various aspects of Canadian work culture. I had the opportunity to be involved in the design of version 2.0 of the WSC website. I created a navigation map for the new system, a preliminary database, and performed several changes in the website dummy design. I am now more confident about what I need to do. My experience at WSC reinforced my conviction that there were other opportunities out there for me, and that there was no need to apply for waitressing jobs”.

        Edith Orozco is now working full time as Web Graphic Designer.

“This program is amazing since you can learn a lot about accounting and the office environment. I used Simply Accounting every day and it allowed me to enhance my skills using this software, particularly when processing all the information related to the Trade Fair in Quebec City. I was responsible for developing the vendor and customer system, setting up the tax system procedures, developing price lists, estimating inventory weight, networking and purchasing. It has been three months of hard work, intense stress, making friends and continuous learning.”

Yohanca Vicaria is now working full time as a Credit Analyst.

My duties at the Firm mainly involved using the TA50 PRO software to run payroll check runs, submit bank remittances, and produce financial reports at the opening and closing of the fiscal year. I also enjoyed the freedom and friendly environment at World Service Cargo. Everyone in the Firm is very supportive of each other. Based on my experience and achievements at WSC, I can say that the Firm did a very good job, given the fact that it opened just one year ago.”

“The Practice Firm is a good start to build a career in Canada and get the required Canadian work experience. I performed HR-related tasks during my 3-weeks at the Firm. While at World Service Cargo, I updated Canada Post’s cost system, as well as package measurements of Trade Fair sales orders. I also formatted the Packing List Form, drew Canada Post’s Manifest form and processed the documentation needed to be sent to Trade Fair customers.
