What is a Practice Firm?

A Practice Firm simulates the business activities of a real business and models itself after a sponsor business. Participants hold positions equal to those in a real business and carry the same responsibilities for the success of the Practice Firm's business. Practice Firm participants conduct business with other Practice Firms. All commercial transactions are simulated representations of real business operations, except that actual product and money do not change hands.

World Service Cargo, a Practice Firm of Working Skills Centre, is located in midtown Toronto and has modeled its simulated business after its sponsor firms: KTS Logistics and Exquisite Dreams. World Service Cargo has adopted the sponsors’ products and services to sell in the virtual network. An additional sponsor, High-Strung Designs, is being incorporated into our business process.
